Biz developer, Developer, Engineer, Marketer, Sales person
I've just finished building out Hirable.org - a simple concept to massively scale job referrals ($300 billion market globally). MVP is done, private beta is pending, hiring teams include Apple, Live Nation, WSGR, etc with total commitments of $260k contingent on hiring success.
I've made two hires using this concept prior to building out the product, and now look forward to scaling it up. I'm on the hunt for a Tech Lead who can take the product to new heights. I'll be focusing in this next phase more on users and sales.
I'm also interested in adding other talented, dynamic people to the team, so feel free to reach out even if not for the tech lead inquiry!
Incentive structures, challenges related to people (e.g. talent acquisition), and many other tech/science applications.
I've worked at three startup companies before:
(1) Medical implantable device - my job was to secure federal grant money by producing preclinical results and writing grant proposals. I raised $3.3 million in this non-dilutive fundraising strategy and managed small engineering teams.
(2) Consumer health product - my job was to manage the development of a minimally viable hardware prototype under a very small approved budget. I created human resources cost-sharing measures with other companies, and finished the prototype more than halfway under budget.
(3) Financial services company - I headed up marketing of a new set of exchange traded financial products and was the second employee hired into the company. In 9 months, we grew 1000% in assets - from $100 million to $1.3 billion.
For the past two years, I have been managing a small investment fund, which is ongoing and profitable and takes up a minimal 3-5 hrs/week.
