applying new technologies to existing processes in order to improve effectiveness and efficiency. Whether digitizing pen-and-paper procedures or automating manufacturing assembly, my experience in industry has provided me the tools to make things faster, easier, and more fun! As a hand-on person who loves the technical details, I can lead from a strong position with the knowledge of the product and process.
writing my own destiny in whatever form it take. I want to make things and play a leading role in what they are and how they are made. I am motivated to bring the democratic process into the workplace. It is a long-term goal of mine to be a member of, or be a founder of, a worker cooperative in manufacturing.
I have been in manufacturing engineering for 7 years and have been a tinkerer for all of my life. That experience has spanned large capital investments, maintaining work instructions, design and implementation of new tooling, and continuous improvement of all of the above. My spare time is consumed with projects of all sorts: design and build of circuits such as an FM radio or miniature audio amplifier; video and boardgame design; anything to maintain and update my house, including electrical, plumbing tiling, etc. I am currently working on an indoor aquaponic fishtank/garden and building a pinball machine from the ground up. My focus on the latter is at the moment is design, build and implementation of modular control circuitry.
