OTA Expert is a hospitality business intelligence company, which produces the leading hotel revenue-management technology for analyzing competitors, optimizing prices and maximizing revenue-share of a hotel within the highly-competitive online travel agency (OTA) market with inelastic demand from cost-sensitive customers. OTA Expert provides smart-price suggestion software-as-a-service using state-of-art machine-learning algorithms relying solely on the analysis of the OTA market and the collective intelligence of competitors, without data from their PMS.
Smart-prices simplifies the daily price-positioning task of revenue-managers of hotels by showing minimum knowledge that would lead to an intelligent decision and helps them to implement an optimal dynamic pricing strategy for perishable hotel rooms, in order to maximize their revenue in OTA market. OTA Expert embeds advanced technology on a simple-to-use interface designed for hoteliers and does not require any training nor setup.
Kamer is a PhD candidate in Computer Science and Engineering at Sabanci University with a GPA of 3.97/4.00 (High Honours), where he have also obtained his B.Sc. degree. He have also studied in Bernstein Center of Computational Neuroscience (BCCN) at Technical University of Berlin (TU-Berlin).
He have co-instructed the Wireless & Mobile Programming course, assisted Computer Vision, Automata Theory and Arts & Computing courses and supervised the graduation projects of seven Electrical Engineering and Computer Science students. He was a scholar of Erasmus Lifelong Learning Program and Academic Success Encouragement Scholarship. He won MobileHCI 2011 Design Competition, SU Game Programming Competition and became finalist in an Innovation and Entrepreneurship contest.
He have worked in reputable research institutes incl. Socio-Digital Systems (Human Experience & Design) Group in Computer Mediated Living Laboratory of Microsoft Research Cambridge and Quality & Usability Group of Deutsche Telekom Innovation Laboratories (T-Labs), besides the Computer Vision and Pattern Analysis (VPALAB), Computer Graphics (CGLAB) and Distributed Artificial Intelligence (DAI-Labor) laboratories of SU and TU-Berlin; where he was funded by the Technological and Scientific Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
He have conducted research in the fields of Machine Learning, Pattern Recognition, Data Mining, Information Retrieval, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, Virtual & Augmented Reality, Ubiquitous & Wearable Computing and Human-Computer Interaction. His research concluded thirty academic publications (incl. two book-chapters) in top-tier international conferences and journals, along with one-patent and two spin-off companies. He also volunteers (as a reviewer or committee-member) in international conferences incl. CASA, CHI, CIARP, CGI, ICPR, ISMAR, ISWC, JESTECH, MobileHCI, Pervasive and TEI.
