I have a keen sense for parsing out what works and doesn't in web and mobile applications and a good eye for user interfaces. I am very successful at garnering insights from user and market research and using those insights to solve problems via product design and strategy. I have pretty solid wireframing and prototyping skills. I am a novice developer in HTML/CSS/JavaScript/Ruby/Rails trying to earn my way to Ruby Monk/Rails Elite status.
With this project, I am seeking to transform the process of rating and reviewing local businesses into a two-way conversation between businesses and their customers (or community!). What we have now, Yelp, Citysearch, Urbanspoon, etc, are one-way channels for people to vent about experiences on either end of the spectrum - either horrible or great. Crowdscore presents users with an engaging and inspiring way to interact with businesses and gives businesses powerful tools to communicate with their existing customers and market to new ones. We want to close the customer retention loop and make it easier for businesses to find ways to improve.
I have several years experience analyzing and designing products for small and enterprise level clients across web and mobile platforms including PepsiCo, Underarmour, Royal Caribbean, and Target. I've also spent the last 11 months working on the project for which I am seeking a technical co-founder, Crowdscore. Oh and I have read lots, and lots, and lots of books...
