Each year and in every state the government pumps billions of dollars into healthcare for people with disabilities in the hopes that organizations and families will be provided the best services and supports in the most integrated/inclusive settings possible. What really happens? The systems to make this happen for people have not evolved at the pace as the rest of the world. While hundreds are choices are offered to us each minute, many people living in Assisted Living, Intermediate Care Facilities, or other provider-care settings make major life choices based on reviewed of pen and paper...brochures...and employ a whole lot of hope that they made the best decisions for their lives. I want to create a solution that helps to bring choices and opportunity to people with disabilities - so they can make informed choices to design their own life. There's a market and there is a flow of funding to pay for this unique services. I'd like to harness both of these things to improve the lives of people with disabilities.
