There are a lot of mobile apps available, but generating maximum return from any one is difficult because search by smartphone users is difficult. Increase return either by building up user profiles based on previously downloaded apps so that customers can be recommended apps that they are more likely to require, or make the user experience maximally easy by setting up a system that allows apps to download themselves when users have indicated from their previous behaviour that they desire an app of this sort. Requires innovation in metadata associated with apps, probably at server level but possibly on mobile device as well. Does raise some issues about customer privacy, but these issues already exist in the use of mobile apps and are often ignored by app developers and by app consumers.
