The idea for Loops is to extend both the period of time and number of locations within which a user can conduct a review of an experience. Users will be able to submit their own 'Loops' - which are itineraries featuring different places to visit within a specific time frame.
'The UPenn Classic Thursday Night' Loop
*Recommended for: Students, young adults
10 pm - 12 pm: Drinker's West
- Not too crowded, as most college students still haven't left campus yet. $0.75 Miller High Life bottles make for excellent pregaming. Get there early if you want to reserve a table.
12 pm - 2 am: Smokey Joe's
- This is the best place to meet young singles and enjoy a classic college atmsphere. Drink specials run all night, and the dance floor heats up around midnight. There may be a cover up to $3 but it's worth it to be in the most popular bar among students.
2 am - : Wawa
- After a night of debauchery, Wawa is the perfect place to grab a quick bite before heading home for the evening. Open 24/7 so no matter how late your night goes it will be there to fulfill your desire for munchies :)
Loops shoud appeal to both locals who seek new experiences and specials (aided by the specific time variable) as well as travellers who are looking for an authentic cultural experience. Unlike other review sites, because a Loop stretches across different businesses, users will have a creative and personal incentive to pitch a successful Loop. The rating system assures that users can trust the authenticity of any given Loop. Though I have provided an example of an evening, any Loop could theoretically be applied to a day, a weekend, or even longer.
