Language learning game

It has been proven that the best way to learn a new language is by immersing into it. We can learn a language much better, when living in an environment where it is spoken and being forced to communicate using solely that language. My goal is to recreate that experience in a form of a video game.

I'd like to create a game where your character solves everyday problems (like buying food or withdrawing money from an ATM) using the language you want to learn. You leave home in the morning, see people exchanging simple phrases in the street, you go to the shop and try to say "Give me some bread" using the language pattern that other customers use. To assist you in your learning there will be morpheme-by-morpheme translation provided as well as a dictionary where the words and constructions you've met are stored. Your character will lead a full life, get different jobs, make friends with people, fall it love. The setting will be culturally adequate, and there will be historical and mythological reminiscences. I want to start with a game that teaches Irish, but I don't mind other suggestions.

I have thought a lot about game design that would make this possible and have written the story for the first part. I want this game to be beautiful and motivating for future language learners, so I am searching for people to work on the art and programming side of the game.
