Now that I have your attention inQb - does not directly make babies. inQb is an app that matches intended parents (who are infertile and would like to start a family) with a female oocyte donor and/or carrier for IVF (in vitro fertilization) - a process which does result in babies. The app serves as a pre-screener for fertility clinics - essentially replacing the need for a traditional donor agency and the corresponding service fees ($4,000 - $6,000).
The 3 Short Term Objective of inQb:
1) Increase the rate of successful birth by improving screening standards of donors/carriers.
2) Reduce the donor/carrier search time to 1/10th of the current average.
3) Reduce the expense of starting a family through IVF to 1/4th the current average.
In order to reach these goals, a high level of collaboration and feedback from successful clinics is required - allowing for developments of iterations of the app on the engineering side.
