This is such a crowded space, and yet, nobody has truly cracked the nut. A truly effective weight loss program is nowhere near as lucrative a business as offering short-term fixes that will have customers returning back for more. Unfortunately, the massive amount of money from the weight loss industry is hindering progress. So, I am looking for a co-founder(s) interested in fixing the problem as a priority--not interested in making crazy money.
Fixing this problem is simple as a concept--turning unhealthy lifestyle habits into healthy habits. But, habits are personalized. There isn't a "one size fits all" program. Personalization entails coordinating multiple data sources: nutrition, exercise, emotional well-being (moods), sleep, stress, etc. and then mapping it to the reality of life (e.g., schedules and lovely chaos). And a massive challenge is in the cumbersome user experience trying to gather that data. Fortunately, tech has come to the rescue for a lot of our input categories (sleep, exercise, stress, even moods). One key input is still way too big of an ask on the consumer. That is nutrition. Automation of nutrition measurement would require a non-invasive blood measurement.
I'm good on the entirety of experience design. I am ready to develop an easy and effective experience that enables users to easily alter habits for good. This would be a meaningful, and very ambitious project that I am drooling to sink my teeth into. What I seek is an equally passionate partner (who is not driven by dollar signs) preferably with biotech experience.
