Biofeedback Armbands for People with Autism and Special Needs

Looking for: Developer, Engineer
Hi everyone!  I am a marketer with what I feel is an innovative idea and basic design for a product but without the engineering skills to design a prototype that I can beta test and pitch.  I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work and experience with fundraising, conventions, grant writing, and communications.  I have the background and passion to launch this product if only it existed.  My best efforts at finding a brilliant engineer to help me build a prototype have not yet succeeded, but I would love have anyone interested in helping me design a prototype as an equal partner.

My interest is in designing an interactive armband that could read the pulse and possibly other cues, such as sweating or skin temperature, to determine if the wearer was in dissociative state and use a gentle squeeze or vibration to bring the wearer back to awareness.  The device would then stop when the wearer was alert.  I could see this helping wearers with autism, PTSD, dementia, and possibly many other conditions.  When shopping around this idea, I have met with positive feedback and requests for a prototype.  If a cost effective version could be designed, I am sure the market for them would be in the millions.

I am willing to do the leg work to raise money, garner interest among disability communities, and possibly be a face for marketing, since I have a lot of connections in the developmental disability community.  I would contribute as much as I could in ideas and start up funds to its design.  I would be able to find people willing to beta test this product.  If you are a genius willing to co-found this start up with me and help me to make my dreams come true, I truly believe that we could make millions of dollars together while changing lives around the world.  Please contact me if you are interested.
