As a web developer and startup CTO, I have been pushed to create sites rapidly in an effort to drastically reduce the time it takes to get in front of potential investors, partners, venture capital firms and others that may be able to contribute, financially or otherwise. When it comes to technology-driven projects, nothing is perfect the first time but those who are not tech savvy can be overbearing when it comes to demanding adjustments. Even small changes can take several minutes to complete and some requests take hours or days.
I believe that in a perfect world, the fastest way to do something is to simply say what you want done and watch it happen automatically. While we are far from this as a society, I think it would be incredible for web engineers to take advantage of voice, natural language, artificial intelligence, and machine learning technologies to make development easier than it has ever been.
For example, consider this statement: "These pictures are way too big. On a large screen, there should be four pictures next to each other in one row, but on a phone it would look fine if there were only two per row." Based on a sufficient understanding of the English language and the power of the human brain, we should be able to imagine both a desktop and a mobile phone with the correct website layout on it. With the availability of computer vision and other technologies mentioned above, computers should be able to understand and implement these instructions with minimal human involvement. Small edits may be necessary, but a great product would eliminate unnecessary typing, clicking, dragging, dropping and other actions.
If you think this is a good idea, please don't hesitate to send me a message.
