My training includes a strong and rigorous foundation in scientific methods and data analysis. I have been conducting psychological research for the past 8 years using a variety of data analytic techniques including multilevel modeling and multilevel structural equation modeling.
In addition to this scientific background, I now have years of experience seeing mental health clients in a variety of settings. One of my strengths appears to be to translate difficult academic concepts into actionable materials and resources for non-academic people.
For the past few years I have been teaching myself web development in my spare time. I do seem to have a talent for this, though psychology and scientific inquiry are my primary strengths.
I worked as a computer salesman on commission for several years and appear to have a talent for persuading people to purchase things.
My research focuses on the nature of emotions and how they can be targeted to alleviate suffering and enhance well-being. My passion is putting this into practice. I am currently exploring opportunities in the clinical psychology space to offer improved psychological tools to clients and support services to therapists and clinics. This includes consulting for the delivery of measurement tools for tracking a variety of client-centered and business-centered metrics (e.g. clinical progress, program success, employee morale, etc.)
I am finishing my PhD in clinical psychology. In the past I have worked in a research lab, taught English in China, and worked as a computer salesman and floor manager. In my early 20s I was an MC for weddings and Bar/Bat Mitzvahs.
