Beginning with a basic informational app and website, we will move on to develop a series of already fully thought-out stages to add more functionality (and more protection) to each person who uses it. No one has ever done what we will be doing. It will cover everything from planning to dealing with kidnap and surveillance by totalitarian regimes.
I have an app that can reliably detect emergencies with few false alarms. It can detect if the user is in the vicinity of a shooting, screaming, involved in a vehicle accident, assault, kidnapping, and more. It is also smart... automatically "sleeping" when you move into a safe place as well as reducing sensitivity when you move into areas that may trigger the system. I'm sure you have a lot of questions (and doubts) which can best be answered over the phone or through a demonstration.
Currently wrapping up beta testing, after that there will be a "soft launch" to stress test the infrastructure (servers, customer service, emergency response) while the stress test is going on we will be actively searching for investors to fund the expansion and marketing of the system and most importantly solidify the IP.
During expansion we will seek to be acquired by a larger company. IPO is not a desired exit strategy at the moment, though that may change long term.
We also offer traditional home security as an up/cross selling point for increased revenue.
I need someone with good mathematics skills in the field of statistics. Should be nearby, ideally in Santa Clara or San Jose, as I need a video of the team for additional funding and publicity online through crowdfunding. This person must know how to build statistical models based on user data and must also be able to understand how models interrelate with each other.
Of course I did change my password and then revoked access to like 100 of my 150 Apps on Twitter, too.
And then - just to be on the safe side - I changed my password on Facebook, too, and also removed planty of Apps there.
What a mess and what a potential sceurity thread! All these Apps... how often do you check, which Apps actually do have access to your stuff on all these social media sites? Never? Exactly!!
Now, let's build an App for that - we could name it revoke.me or - which takes care of this.
Let's do it and make social media safer!
data, profile pages and pseudonyms. A network which is as dynamic
and easy to operate as a search engine whilst offering the same level
of inter-activity as Web 2.0.

What we need: http://www.startuply.com/Jobs/JAVA_Frontend_Security_Stand_alone_application_7348_2.aspx
We are two information security consultants working for a top consulting firm here in Chicago. My partner graduated from John Hopkins and penetrates (hacks) large corporate networks (Fortune 50/100) and I assist in integrating the remediation plan with the current organizational business practices. In essence - we are a team.
While working on these engagements we identified a huge need related to sensitive file transfers and socialized the plan with several executives including a fortune 50 company in Illinois. They are very interested and would like to see a demo by December. We know there is a huge need especially for large enterprises and we've heard time and again the same issues these companies face practically on every engagement - and now there is a solution.
You are well versed with Java fron end development (swing, windows builder pro, java fx, swt etc). Though we are not programmers (more like cryptographers) we need help in creating the interfaces. The concept has a strong management team. We definitely have a product that is in demand, is targeting a large market and we have an exit strategy planned.
I'm an entrepreneur with close to 20 years of experience in application development, internet infrastructure, and information security. I've held director and CTO level positions at several startups. Most recently I've spent about 3 years consulting in web development and application security for large enterprises while I figured out my next move. It's time! I'm starting to work on this full-time, would love to have somebody to bounce ideas off and help ready this for market.
I'm building a new infrastructure cloud with security in mind, from the bottom up. The goal is to provide a single-payment solution that is hardened, monitored, and kept secure, allowing the customer to focus on their business, not on security. There are competitors, from my research so far they all have weakness that we can take advantage of.
What I'm looking for:
I'm looking for a co-founder in San Francisco (preferred) or the general bay area - somebody with biz dev and sales skills. A background in either cloud computing or information security is a huge plus, as are connections to investors in this space. Not to talk titles, but to give an idea, this is likely a CEO role, in time.
If you think you're a good fit for this, drop me a note. I'm a mover, not a talker - if I sense there's value in us working together, I'll quickly suggest coffee to meet and chat.
I'm building a secure alternative to this - a single-stop solution that combines cloud infrastructure, patch management, hardened systems, encryption, and security management.
At this point I'm looking for a co-founder SPECIFICALLY with business experience, preferrably somebody who has raised money before. The product is currently in alpha testing with paying customers, I'm looking to land some enterprise customers, grow traction a little more and then start the hunt for investors. Ideal canidate will help with sales, biz dev, pitching to investors, and growing the business.
