With NFC being now widely featured on most top-tier – and even a lot of mid-tier – mobile devices, I really don’t know why the following idea isn’t hugely popular.
Essentially, the idea is to create a mobile app infrastructure that would accept information via NFC. This app would be useful and applicable in most daily situations. For example, instead of walking into a mall in another city and I have no idea where I am going. I could scan an NFC code at the front door and it would beam a map into my phone. Hopefully this example has explained the limitless opportunity with this type of application. It would work work for retail, healthcare, sporting events… anything.
The technology is there – the money is in creating an app that connects with the existing NFC conductors. Imagine walking into a retail store and having the sales beamed to your phone the second you walk in.
