We currently have 3,700 buyers/sellers registered and over $200,000,000 in judgments listed for sale/collection purposes. We charge a 5% fee for any successful transaction as well as traditional enhanced listing fees and much more. This is in the basic revenue stages but is scalable and ready to expand tremendously.
Our mission is to provide an online food network where local food producers can connect with buyers to market time sensitive food product.
•At least a quarter of all food produced in North America is close to expiry and surplused before it could reach users. You have seen completely good food gone bad. Wasted… Rotted… Dumped... Imagine capturing a portion of this this fractioned market while at the same time reducing wasted resouces and feeding more people.
•Food manufactures lack a coordinated marketplace and constantly struggle to balance uncertain supply and demand. The existing system does not effectively align buyers and producers with efficient distribution channels. The impact is that food producers are continuously struggling to manage an inventory of surplus and time sensitive product.
•Shelflifefoods is a B2B marketplace connecting commercial buyers to producers of surplus and time sensitive foods. The resulting opportunity buys not only create participant value but also reduce waste and improve efficiency within the food industry.
•The combined estimated surplus market of red meat, poultry, seafood and dairy in Canada and U.S. alone totals $24 billion. Significant opportunities exist to capture a share of this surplus for redistribution and further add efficiencies to additional categories and markets globally.
Currently Montou is a singular online thrift store- building out into a major online marketplace. The fee scales that come with the existing marketplaces (etsy, ebay, diy) are not structured for thrift pricing. According to the EPA- every year, the US buries 47 million tons of durable goods in the landfill. The Montou Network of users would intercept the usable, relevant goods from that, and put it into the online market. Goodwill makes 3B in revenue yearly, from donated materials- and is expected to grow 10% a year. Goodwill's 3B is not a part of those 47 M tons of goods.
The Montou network is a solution to our waste problem.
The Plus- Montou wants to bring materials that are not appropriate for our online market, to entrepreneurs in depressed economies; to resell, up-cycle, or re-purpose, rather than ending up in our landfills. Of course, the altruistic value aside- this is an opportunity to invest in human capital (self-employment) and emerging markets; and to capitalize on the waste that is built into modern consumerism.
Customers: it is hard to keep focus on long term goals, such as make successful business or increase your personal network.
At the moment product localization is russian and video presentation is russian as well. Please let me know if you are interested in product and have questions or interested in development of it on world market.

WTM? Social is a website that gives the public access to user-submitted events, photos, videos, music, and entertainment news. Letting users take part in sharing content will create a growing library of content that will define itself as a flourishing community of event-seekers and event-creators. This idea is being pursued because it is a step ahead from what is currently in market in that it allows wtmsocial's users to do more than what any other event-listing website can offer by allowing all event creators to sell tickets absolutely free, without compromising the company's revenue potential. This product is highly scalable, and I hope to move beyond NYC. I ultimately look to create financial ease to both the event-seekers, and those that create and promote the events.
WTM? adds more value and substance to the already popular event-listing online platform. We allow users to post their own events, make money and share media that can spark more attention to them or their cause, creating a viral effect.
I am looking for co-founders that will compliment my skill sets and help me develop the platform and ultimately turn this startup into a successful business. One co-founder will have skills in programming and web development, another would be a markerter who is also skilled in sales.
Monetization through % on each sale and advertising (no Adsense - advertising for users only).
Seeking: Sweat equity co-founders.
CMO: Online marketing maven. SEO, SMM, SEM, affiliate marketing, compelling web content creator. Innate understanding of the psychology behind what makes people engage and commit to a brand. Ideally, you come with an existing network of social media followers whom hang on your every word. ;) A passion for all things entrepreneurial will be a distinct advantage.
CTO: Wordpress wizard (all programming languages; you know the right recipe plugin/settings-wise for a server efficient, secure, perfectly functioning website with all the bells and whistles users love to engage with); design skills (a clean minimalist aesthetic with beautiful fonts), server administration expertise (nothing crazy being the beginning but you'll need to keep us on track - and online - as we grow).
The problem: The current online retail consumer marketplace is fragmented across multiple sites and has an inherent structure that is, for a large part, country-specific with site functionality and flow that is product– vs. user–based. Though successful, these structures are dated given the current technological environment wherein markets are global and users desire greater transparency relative to comparative buying and selling opportunities.
Furthermore, current market fragmentation obfuscates prices, particularly as it relates to prices adjusted for currency exchange rates, preventing users from discerning the best all-in (i.e. good/service cost, shipping costs, duties) price possible. This also prevents users from being able to actively participate in a method of entrepreneurship that is derived from the work of an individual or business in recognizing and acting on arbitrage opportunities.
The solution: An integrated, user-friendly online exchange platform for the global retail marketplace which allows for the facilitation of entrepreneurship through arbitrage (via currency exchange rates) and brings greater transparency to prices as well as supply and demand trends.
Immediate need: Seeking a developer/engineer CTO co-founder.
Secondary need: Other interested individuals with prior startup experience and useful contacts/rolodex.
Current Stage and Next Steps: Prototype developed. Completion of full site functionality is next step. Further details will be provided as discussions advance.
Each client will buy directly from the designer, meaning this that we will not manage any stock.
Each designer will have their own shop within our site where they will showcase all their collections and products giving total independence on how to set the looks of their shop. However, the platform is not open to any designer and the designer account has to be created always by an administrator, which is different from the normal user, where anyone can create an accunt to buy. Therefore, in order to build this website, it has to be seen from 2 different points of view: Designers and customers.
I already have developed the web designing aspect with a web designer. Lets say that 70% of the site is designed and probably in 10 days it can be totally finished. I can contribute with the startup not only from this aspect, but also from a marketing point of view, but also PR and managing.
