What if you could use your phone or tablet to shop for products you see anywhere you go, the moment you see them? Not only that, but what if you could get payed simply for telling the world what products you own and use every day?
The idea is to develop a mobile application and web service which allows users to efficiently purchase or save products that they come across in their daily lives. See someone at the coffee shop wearing a jacket you'd love to own? This service will find that exact item for you and give you shopping results for every retailer who carries it immediately, so you can have it on it's way to you within minutes of seeing it.
The aim is to progress the future of the way the world shops. By marrying the best aspects of both online and physical retail we can turn the whole world into one interactive showroom.
How Far Along Is It?:
I've spent the last month and a half to two months refining the concept, developing marketing strategy, doing basic research on competition, and laying out goals for growth. This includes developing ideas for everything from securing funding, product launch strategy, revenue generation, and more. I will be working on completing a written business plan over the next couple weeks. That being said, keep in mind there is a lot of depth to this idea that I am waiting to share with my future co-founder for the protection of the idea.
Essentially, I'm as far along in the process of making this concept into reality as I can be without having a developer on board to hash out the technology side of the operations.
Who Am I Looking to Work with?
I'm looking for a teammate with extensive knowledge and ability pertaining to mobile software and website development. Someone who thinks in terms of the big picture and who is comfortable pushing their boundaries on a daily basis. This concept will require the development of multiple, in-depth, and I'm guessing very technical software applications. This will not be a basic, easy to build application or website. That being said, I am very confident that the technical aspects are, in fact, possible to create.
In exchange for your hard work (and potential financial investment) you will be an equal partner with me in the business. Decisions will always be made as a team (part of why I haven't named the project yet). We will need to be able to communicate and work together in a highly productive and beneficial manner. I'm looking for someone who has skill sets and character traits which I do not have so that we can be a well rounded and powerful team.
If you think you have an interest in the idea and that you would be a good fit, please feel free to contact me.
Additionally, please note that while I am currently employed full time, I am prepared to step away and pursue this business full time at the earliest possible point. One of my primary goals is to get the basis of the technology started with my new co-founder, and then quickly begin applying to enter a start up accelerator. At the point of acceptance to an accelerator (or if funding is secured), I would expect that both myself and my partner be committed full time to the business.
We currently have 3,700 buyers/sellers registered and over $200,000,000 in judgments listed for sale/collection purposes. We charge a 5% fee for any successful transaction as well as traditional enhanced listing fees and much more. This is in the basic revenue stages but is scalable and ready to expand tremendously.
Our platform on www.fortunecookieadvertising.com has been built to offer a seamless process for placing your advertisement on the slip. You can design your slip on the website and input your zip code and either individually pick restaurants to add to your campaign or add a a specific area and checkout. Within 2 weeks the specific area/restaurant(s) will be distributing your cookies to their patrons.
I am looking to partner up with anyone who is interested in creating a "Simple Dropshipping & Affiliate Online Store". Lets create a site and dropship a product and mix in affiliate products as well. Lets bootstrap the project and see what we can come up with. The actual product/niche hasn't been determined but we can develop that.
I can devote about 15-20 hours a week towards this project. IF possible having prior experience would be a plus but if not I would just need to make sure that you understand the intent.
Currently Montou is a singular online thrift store- building out into a major online marketplace. The fee scales that come with the existing marketplaces (etsy, ebay, diy) are not structured for thrift pricing. According to the EPA- every year, the US buries 47 million tons of durable goods in the landfill. The Montou Network of users would intercept the usable, relevant goods from that, and put it into the online market. Goodwill makes 3B in revenue yearly, from donated materials- and is expected to grow 10% a year. Goodwill's 3B is not a part of those 47 M tons of goods.
The Montou network is a solution to our waste problem.
The Plus- Montou wants to bring materials that are not appropriate for our online market, to entrepreneurs in depressed economies; to resell, up-cycle, or re-purpose, rather than ending up in our landfills. Of course, the altruistic value aside- this is an opportunity to invest in human capital (self-employment) and emerging markets; and to capitalize on the waste that is built into modern consumerism.

I am looking for a developer to join our start up/online business 'You, Me & Luxury' and take it to the next level. Our company is a new up and coming online luxury directory and privilege business connecting the very best of today's luxurious businesses/brands directly with customers that enjoy pampering and the finer things in life. The website creates a unique shopping experience providing detailed venue content and exclusive privileges for our members at luxury hotels, Michelin star restaurants and spas.
You, Me & Luxury so far: The business was founded by myself in Nov 2012, i have one other partner who deals with operations and has help fund the business todate. Staff wise there are 4 of us in total including myself, the other two people are responsible for accounts and social media/webcopy. The website has been built already and launches at the end of this week. As we have never had a tech person on board, to get started we contracted a business to do the initial build for us, they have built the CMS system on wordpress. Not the greatest i know!
I know all developers have there own preferences on CMS systems but this was our only option to start off with as we already had the designs built by the company who first took the job. This company were going to build us a bespoke CMS system but unfortunately we were totally let down with the person/company and had to find an alternative solution quick.
I work on the business full time and have been doing so since April 2013. No one is currently taking a wage from the business and only myself and my business partner currently hold equity shares. The developer who would join us would be given equity shares in the business and in the long run we would like them to become the main tech person in the company and take a wage, run a tech team etc. As it currently stands who ever joins would easily be able to still do there own current job and be able to be involved in YM&L. As mentioned the website has already been built its just a case of going on from here.
The current wordpress backend could do with various tweaks and improved functionality which i'm sure is possible? Im not a tech savy person but i know there could be better ways at doing things currently on the system, building functionality, moving things around etc. The idea is that who ever joins us would be able to lead the tech side of the business going forward and in time be responsible for building a new CMS system - Either bespoke or from another CMS source.
In the next 6 months we will start to look for our first round of investment. Once this is done said person would become full time and be able to take a wage from the business.
If you would like to know more please do contact me. Look me up on linked in, see ourfacebook page/ twitter etc. We already have some amazing luxury hotels, restaurants, spas and brands signed up pre launch and we also have some fantastic business partnerships in place which allows us direct access to over 1.6 million employees at companies such as: Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, Bank of America, CMEC, JP Morgan, MetOffice, Fidelity, BIS, Barclays, IPO, Amex, Ministry of Justices, ABN Amro, HMRC, Citigroup, Bar Council, HSBC, ITN, Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi, KPMG, Alcatel-Lucent, Deloitte, BBC, British Airways, Allen & Overy, Clifford Chance, Freshfields, Bruckhaus Deringer, Linklaters, and many more.
Thank you for reading this essay. :)
Companies spend well over 2 billion dollars a year on their loyalty and rewards programs. In a recent article it was noted that over $16 billion of customer's rewards go unspent. Companies spent time in development, customer service, and engagement of their customer base requiring an immense amount of resources to run these programs. Smaller businesses have few options available to them and cannot devote the resources to develop their own loyalty and rewards systems. These systems are rapidly evolving as companies are well aware of their benefits in today's markets.
Customers: it is hard to keep focus on long term goals, such as make successful business or increase your personal network.
At the moment product localization is russian and video presentation is russian as well. Please let me know if you are interested in product and have questions or interested in development of it on world market.
